Earth Day is a celebration of the actions you can take to protect and preserve our shared environment. Observe the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day on Saturday, April 25th with Red-tail Land Conservancy by planting hundreds of trees and eradicating invasive species in the protected habitats of Munsee Woods, located just 15 min south of Muncie, IN. After the restoration project, join our knowledgeable staff for a guided hike along the trails. This family-friendly volunteer event from 10am-12pm is your time to help restore a vibrant and vulnerable ecosystem where wildlife, plants and people can thrive.
Munsee Woods is open to the public only a few days each year, this event is one of those instances. Please wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy closed-toed shoes. Bring drinking water, work gloves, and a shovel if you have one.
Parking is on site: turn off County Road S 475 E onto dirt road and drive a quarter mile until the road dead-ends in an unpaved parking lot.
