“Pages + Places” events are meetups hosted by Muncie Public Library at interesting places where we discuss a book and then experience something related to it.
This month, we will discuss the conservation classic, “A Sand County Almanac” by Aldo Leopold, and then walk through the John Craddock Wetland Nature Preserve with John Craddock and Red-Tail Land Conservancy. You will hear about the recovery of the White River and the wildlife in its corridor, and learn how to get involved in conservation yourself.
Books are available to borrow in advance from Maring-Hunt Library and Kennedy Library. This event is free to attend, and trails are ADA accessible. Parking is available at the entrance on N. Gavin St. at Bunch Blvd. You may also walk or bike via the White River Greenway.
In the event of rain or severe weather, the discussion and walk will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 6pm.
