Nathan Gagnon

2020 Summer Intern
Nathan Gagnon
Hi! My name is Nathan and I am currently a senior at Ball State University expecting to graduate in July of this year. My two majors are Meteorology/Climatology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Weather and Geography have been lifelong passions of mine and I feel very blessed to be pursuing a career within these fields. I also really enjoy being outside and doing outdoor related activities. In Fall of 2017, my eyes were opened to the growing reality known as climate change when I volunteered with Samaritan’s Purse in Houston, TX after Hurricane Harvey. The growing impact of changing weather patterns on our state’s plants and ecosystems is very real. One of the reasons why I wanted to intern with Red-tail Land Conservancy was to have an impact on preserving nature that is very much under threat by human related activities. My favorite outdoor activities are flying drones, playing any kind of sport, and walking/hiking trails. If there is an adventure to be had, you can certainly count me in! I am very excited to see what the rest of this summer brings me with Red-tail Land Conservancy!
