Like an open house, an “open woods” is time for you to wander at your own pace on a self-guided tour. The natural trails in Frank and Phyllis Yuhas Woods will lead you beneath a towering canopy bursting with vibrant fall colors. The only sounds you’ll hear beyond the sweet calls of birds and chattering of squirrels will be your own footsteps wading through fallen leaves.
Beginning at 11am, park in the paved lane outside of the gate. The gate is located down a short gravel drive off W 400 S, next to a fenced equipment yard.
You have the freedom to roam on the two meandering loop trails until 1pm. Yuhas Woods is only open to the public for special events. This may be your last chance to see it this year!
We strongly suggest you dress for the weather. Please keep responsible recreation in mind. Stay at least 6ft from other trail goers, announce before you pass, pack out all items you bring in, wear a mask if you are unable to social distance and please stay home if you feel ill.
You do not need to register for this event, just show up and prepared to be amazed!
